E-Scooter-Related Injuries Are on the Rise;
CPSC Releases New Study and Public Service Announcement

Dear PSA Director:
Scooter lately? If you haven’t tried one personally, surely you have witnessed someone else rolling through a city street on an e-scooter. This increasingly popular mode of transportation is being hailed as a convenient, cost-effective and fun way to get around town.
Unfortunately, injuries and deaths associated with their use have also increased, according to a new report by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Consumers need to know the risks BEFORE they ride.
To help prevent injuries and help consumers stay safe while riding e-scooters, the CPSC has released a new Public Service Announcement (PSA) featuring safety tips for riders.
We hope you will broadcast the enclosed 30 second spot whenever commercial time is available throughout the year — it will save lives.
Thank you.
